Wanderlust is real. Travel & share your clean up photos with a new App
Updated: Feb 23, 2022
Even post-2020, when lock downs are still looming in many countries, there is a way to travel that is Eco-conscious and beautiful.
Here at Sea'd, were are so lucky to be surrounded by so much nature and beauty. It is hard not to be left breathless exploring the Western Fjords of Norway. But how many of us have actually taken the time to explore the 'non-tourist traps' or trails that are off the beaten track in our own town or city?
There is always a way to be part of nature that is both respectful and beneficial. We love to leave places better than how we found them. That may be as easy as looking a bit closer on the ground and areas with high foot traffic to ensure there's no rubbish left behind. We are always in the habit of picking up cans, plastic wrappers, and things that should do not belong in nature. We encourage you to post your rubbish collected to the CSIRO app and see how much we can collectively make a difference in places that are often off the beaten track.
An App for collecting rubbish? Click here.
Take a photo of plastic pollution in the environment and help map out areas that may need more help or future clean ups planned.
Using your smart phone to track plastic pollution can help to raise awareness of where a rubbish bin may be needed. It can also help to raise awareness as you can share these posts on social media or just with friends and family. With so much plastic waste an pollution every little bit picked up and properly disposed of, makes a difference.
Now with an app, it has never been easier to share and promote good, everyday causes --as simple as hey, I was out hiking and I picked up this today!-- that encourage others to help do the same next time they are outdoors.
Send us your 'Plastic Pollution Photos' and hashtag us #Seadmeadows
If you have been out hiking and have done your own clean up we would love to promote you and your organisation on our website.
Together, we can achieve so much more, and now more than ever we need the everyday citizen to step up and help raise awareness of these seemingly everyday activities that, collectively and over time make a real difference to our environment.
Today I found... what did you find today?
